CHE GUEVARA – TU Y TODOS

M2L was responsible for the lighting design and setup of the Che Guevara exhibit, Tu y Todos, held at the Fabbrica del Vapore  (Steam Factory) in Milan from 6 December 2017 to 2 April 2018. Fifty years after his death, the exhibit highlighted the main aspects of Guevara: the guerrilla fighter and myth as well as the more intimate and unknown sides of the man. The exhibit was conceived and created by Simmetrico Cultura and produced by ALMA and RTV Comercial and the Che Guevara Studies Centre, both the latter in Havana. It was created to tell the story of a key 20th century historical figure. It drew on rich and unpublished documentation and support from the University of Milan and the IULM University in reconstructing the historical context. To create the exhibit, over 2,000 documents were reviewed, including photographs, letters, postcards, writings and manuscripts. Over 97 hours of documentaries and 14 hours of official speech recordings were also considered.
